Director's Message

Vocational and Technical Education is important for the Global Economy.

Globalization and regionalization movements, advancements in information technology infrastructure, and the widespread use of communication tools have intensified competition on both national and international scales. Within this framework, qualified human resources with ethical values have taken their place in economic life as the fundamental instrument of competitive power.

Our university is a higher education institution that began its academic activities as a Vocational School. Since our first academic year of establishment, before admitting students to any program we wish to open within the Vocational School, we establish solution partnerships with sector representatives and non-governmental organizations to design sector-oriented curricula, practical training, and internship plans. These efficiency and effectiveness-oriented plans help our graduates get to know the business world while they are still studying and secure sustainable employment.

Our mission is to train technical personnel who are based on positive science, capable of thinking analyticaly and criticaly, and who produce knowledge. Through our project-based education model, we aim for our students to be equipped to evaluate the innovations and opportunities brought to social and business life by the technological revolution.

In our education and training processes, by prioritizing environmental awareness, energy efficiency, and combating climate change, we raise environmentaly conscious, innovative, and socialy responsible individuals in line with our country's sustainable development goals.

Furthermore, we aim to raise a generation equipped with the skills required by a world integrating with digitalized automation systems and robotic technologies, capable of adapting to the professions of the future, and who have adopted lifelong learning as a principle.

Our vision adopts an educational model that integrates with technology, supports research and development, focuses on developing innovative products, values entrepreneurship, prioritizes business models transferable to digital platforms, and is open to international collaborations. Our vision is based on raising a generation that benefits from digital technology, can meet the needs of a world equipped with the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence, and will take on significant roles in the professions of the future.

As a Vocational School, we advocate that vocational and technical education should be carried out in an applied manner. In this context, having field courses taught by sector representatives, organizing technical trips, ensuring university-industry collaboration through various events, and continuously incorporating innovations in production processes into lesson plans greatly contribute to our vocational school becoming a "CENTER OF BENEFIT".

According to the contemporary employment paradigm, skill diversification is important in vocational and technical education. Therefore, our students are endowed with various skills through foreign language, information and communication technologies, and various elective courses in our vocational school's curricula. This practice increases the employment opportunities of our graduating students and eliminates the training and time costs of the enterprises that are the source of employment.

Acting on the thought that vocational education is an important element for both the Turkish and global economy, we wish al our students a successful, healthy, and happy higher education life.
