Istanbul Nişantaşı University is a foundation higher education institution that joined the higher education system as “Nişantaşı Vocational School” by the Nişantaşı Education Foundation, following the publication of its establishment decision dated 09.09.2009 and numbered 24480 in the Official Gazette dated 17.09.2009 and numbered 27352, and it commenced its associate degree education on 10.10.2010.
Having started to provide associate degree education with 14 programs in the 2010-2011 academic year as Nişantaşı Vocational School, it continues its educational activities today with 10,529 students across 36 programs in both formal and evening education. Since its first academic year of establishment, it has been serving with the responsibility of training professionals who possess a vocational skill base that will facilitate their adaptation to changing conditions and the fundamental knowledge on which technology is based. The primary aim of our Vocational School is to train and bring into the economy a modern, highly qualified workforce capable of taking part in the industry, trade, and service sectors by prioritizing activities that raise awareness of environmental consciousness, energy efficiency, and the fight against climate change throughout the education and training processes. Driven by the need for a workforce that can understand and apply technology to produce efficient and high-quality goods and services, the institution strives to provide an education that imparts the qualities demanded by the business world, such as adapting quickly to changing conditions, solving problems, communicating effectively, working in teams, and taking responsibility. Therefore, before admitting students to any program we wish to open within the Vocational School, we establish solution partnerships with sector representatives and non-governmental organizations to design sector-oriented curricula, practical training, and internship plans. These efficiency and effectiveness-oriented plans help our graduates get to know the business world while they are still studying and secure sustainable employment.
In line with this objective, and aware of the importance of infrastructure adequacy to enhance the quality of education, the necessary infrastructure regarding workshops, laboratories, and other equipment has been provided at our Neotech and Kağıthane campuses.
