We are highly pleased to see you among us. Throughout your university life, you will get to know different cultures by making new friends in a new city (Istanbul) – the apple of the eye of the World and Europe, home to important finance and technology giants, large airports and shipyards, whr you will experience innovation-based practices related to your profession and which will offer you a lifelong learning experience. In a changing and developing world whr technology is advancing rapidly, we as a country must attach importance to innovation. Today, unmanned (autonomous) aerial, land, and sea vehicles are gaining increasing importance in many fields such as agriculture, logistics, energy, and disaster management, especialy in the defense industry. Considering al these conditions, developments, and technology, in order to exist in the land, air, and sea domains and to create the necessary infrastructure, we need to offer these autonomous systems for the use of our country's people. As universities, we must present the necessary knowledge and experience to you, our students, by showing the required dedication for the design, procurement, production, assembly, and post-field use maintenance of unmanned, that is, autonomous vehicles. We would like to remind you that as Nişantaşı University, we set out with this awareness, that we will show the dedication required for you to become competent in your profession, that we will contribute to your professional development while the education program continues, and that we will create the necessary environment for you to receive field applications in a blended way while acquiring theoretical knowledge. As the Istanbul Nişantaşı University Unmanned Vehicle Technology Program, we will be honored to train you as individuals equipped with knowledge, following technological developments, possessing strong communication skills, open to innovation, and prone to teamwork.
If you can't be a pine on the top of the hill, be a scrub in the valey - but be the best little scrub.
Warm regards,

About the Program
The Istanbul Nişantaşı University Unmanned Vehicle Technology Program aims to provide our students with both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary in their professional lives. In line with this purpose, while presenting theoretical knowledge, it is in cooperation with the leading organizations of the sector and offers a highly dynamic education that will enable its students to gain real-world experience through internships and project studies, and to grow as individuals who can think analyticaly, question, interpret, are solution-oriented, and prone to teamwork. The educational program gives students a broad perspective in terms of following developments both in Turkey and in the world; teaches working harmony, regulations, and standards among national and international institutions and organizations; and provides the ability to communicate effectively with prominent sector representatives and companies, institutions and organizations, and other stakeholders of the sector. Students reach the competence to analyze these by learning the autonomous system network, unmanned vehicle characteristics, and aviation and maritime terminology. In addition, they become ready for the profession by learning the legislation and standards related to unmanned vehicle technology. By reaching professional competence both mechanicaly and electronicaly, they become well-equipped individuals in their fields. Application trips organized during the education, seminars by sector representatives, and compulsory internships enable students to get to know the business world closely and gain experience. The unmanned vehicle technology program, which is an active, dynamic, and open-to-continuous-improvement field, offers opportunities for students to constantly develop themselves both personaly and professionaly. Therefore, with various elective courses offered in the second year, students are supported to specialize in accordance with their interests and career goals. In addition, the Double Major (ÇAP) program provides the opportunity to enrich their academic equipment in different disciplines.
Mission of the Program
The Unmanned Vehicle Technology Program aims to train highly equipped professionals who prioritize human life, such as defense and security issues, and follow technological developments by providing its students with the knowledge, skills, and ethical values required by their profession. The program is committed to ensuring that its graduates become successful and sought-after individuals both localy and globaly, with an educational curriculum, field applications, and sector collaborations in accordance with national and international unmanned vehicle systems standards.
Vision of the Program
The Istanbul Nişantaşı University Unmanned Vehicle Technology Program aims to be a respected educational program at the national and international level by training technicians who can carry out the necessary studies in the field of Unmanned (autonomous) Aerial, Land, and Sea Vehicles by following al technological developments, use technology effectively and produce innovative solutions in their field, are prone to teamwork, and are open to innovation.
Working Areas
Students who graduate from the Unmanned Vehicle Technology Program at the associate degree level can earn the right to work as technicians in various sectors by fulfilling the technical and legal conditions determined in this field. After graduation, it is necessary to participate in certificate programs and applied training organized by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, or related institutions, and to be successful in the exams held at the end of these trainings when necessary. In addition, licenses or documents obtained from authorized institutions may be required in some special areas (for example, aircraft operation). Graduates who can take part in the maintenance, repair, production, and operation processes of systems related to unmanned aerial, land, or sea vehicles can work in defense industry organizations, public institutions, private sector companies, and R&D centers. They can also work as operators, maintenance technicians, system supervisors, or project technicians in areas such as aerial imaging, agriculture, logistics, security, mapping, and disaster management. Graduates who get a sufficient score from the Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS) can be employed in the unmanned systems units of the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the General Directorate of Security, municipalities, and various public institutions. Besides this, there are also working opportunities in various fields such as engineering consulting offices, private aviation companies, and technological R&D organizations. Unmanned Vehicle Technology graduates, who have a wide application area, have the opportunity to make a career in both the domestic and international markets.
About the Courses
The Istanbul Nişantaşı University Unmanned Vehicle Technology Program implements a comprehensive curriculum that offers students technical knowledge, practical skills, and sectoral equipment together during the two-year associate degree education. The program aims for students to reach the competence to work both nationaly and internationaly with theoretical and practical training focusing on unmanned aerial, land, and sea vehicles (UAV, UGV, USV). While compulsory and elective courses provide students with a solid theoretical foundation in areas such as basic engineering knowledge, electronics, automation systems, aircraft systems, sensor technologies, and data collection and analysis methods, they alow this knowledge to be effectively applied in the field through laboratory applications, simulations, and sector collaborations. During the education process, students acquire comprehensive knowledge on subjects such as the structure of unmanned vehicle systems, maintenance and repair, software and control systems, flight dynamics, and security protocols. These courses ensure that technician candidates are trained as analytical-thinking and solution-oriented professionals who master the developing technology. The business and management dimension of the program is supported by courses such as Technical Communication, Project Management, and Entrepreneurship. In addition, thanks to the Professional Legislation and Ethics course, students are provided with the opportunity to learn the legal regulations and ethical principles in the sector. In order to strengthen professional practices, field courses such as flight planning, autonomous systems, mission scenarios, ground control stations, and data communication protocols are offered. In this way, students gain the skills to use technology effectively as well as work focusing on security, efficiency, and operational success.
